Fager John is an ideal choice if you would describe your horse as follows;

• Strong and stiff, but can still be sensitive.

• Difficulty finding a bit that this horse is comfortable with.

Fager John is a jointed beval bit. John is designed so that its surface is 100% smooth, even around the joints. The joints are made so that they never press against the mouthpiece or interfere with the corners of the mouth with excessive pressure. All these clever features result in a very comfortable bit that naturally adapts to the shape of the tongue.

The straight, thin design improves aids and creates a more direct and precise communication than ever before. The beval has a similar effect to a 2½ & 3 ring universal or an Olympic bit, but its effect is softer and the leverage is smaller. It gives a flexible, soft feeling to the hand. This bit can be used with the reins in several different positions depending on the effect you want. It can also be used with a gag rein due to the special design with bent loop rings. The rein can slide smoothly in the loop rings.
